Self Portrait - Jose Joya

I like Jose's self portrait because of the way he portrays himself. You can kinda see the attention to detail he puts into the painting. All the little wrinkles on his shirt and the facial expression drew myself to the portrait.

Self Portrait - Brendon Burton

I chose this photo because of the way he uses layers. The way he uses layers makes it look like he has a cloudy back. The little clouds probably have a deeper meaning to him but us not knowing what it is gives it a more mysterious feel.

Representational Self Portrait

The poster board behind me was a bunch of photos that I have done with my friends. It was a gift from them on my 17th birthday and it shows who I am when I'm with them. It has a lot of unforgettable memories that I'm proud to have.

Metaphorical Self Portrait #1

This diptych shows my relationship with my family. The message behind it was that around celebration times, it's some of the only times that I really spend time with them or they spend time with me. Once the candle goes out during those celebrations, everyone is off doing their own thing again.

This diptych also represents what I do with my family. I personally feel like i'm always the person who has to be in 2 places in once. While doing most things in my home, i'm constantly being pulled around to do multiple things at once which messes with my priorities.
